About this tool
Are you familiar with the situation when you are listening to a long lecture or an audiobook and want to speed it up without the unpleasant effect of a "grumbling" voice, or, on the contrary, slow it down for speech analysis?
Our tool makes it easy to change playback speed and pitch individually or together. Everything works confidentially right in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to third-party servers.
You can smoothly adjust the tempo from 0.5x to 3.0x while preserving the natural sound of the voice thanks to advanced time stretching algorithms. Precise semitone pitch change for musicians is also available.
Example. Speed 2.00× with 0 semitones turns a 10-second file into a WAV about 5 seconds long that sounds one octave higher.
Limit. Speed is limited to 0.50×–2.00× and pitch to −12 through +12 semitones, and both are one linear resample rather than separate time-stretch.
