HEIC to JPG Converter

iPhones save photos as HEIC (or HEIF) by default — a format that compresses well but that plenty of older apps, websites and Windows PCs still refuse to open. This tool decodes HEIC and HEIF photos directly in your browser and re-encodes them as JPG or PNG, so you get a file that opens absolutely everywhere.

Because browsers cannot read HEIC natively, the conversion runs on a real HEIC-decoding engine — libheif compiled to WebAssembly — loaded only when you actually convert a file, so it never slows down the rest of the site. Drop one photo or a whole batch: each one is decoded, drawn to a canvas and downloaded individually or all at once, with a clear per-file error if a particular photo is corrupted or uses a HEIC variant the decoder cannot handle.

Choose JPG with an adjustable quality slider for small, shareable files, or lossless PNG when you need every pixel preserved. Large photos can take a few seconds to decode — the progress bar tracks each file by name so you always know what is happening.

Nothing leaves your device at any point: the HEIC file, the decoded pixels and the final JPG or PNG all stay in your browser's memory until you choose to download them.
