Cloud resume builders like Canva, Novoresume or Zety are convenient, but every field you type — your employers, your salary history hints, your phone number and address — gets stored on their servers behind a sign-up wall and, in several cases, a paywall to unlock the PDF download. This tool skips all of that: it is a plain form and a PDF generator that runs entirely inside your browser tab. Nothing you type is ever sent anywhere; closing the tab discards it completely.

Under the hood it uses pdf-lib to build a fresh, standard US Letter PDF page by page. The header renders your name and a contact line; the summary, each job's bullet points, and your skills list all go through a real word-wrap routine that measures every word's rendered width and only starts a new line when the next word would overflow the margin — no words are ever cut in half. If your experience and education sections run past the bottom of the page, the layout engine adds a genuine second page and keeps drawing from the top, instead of shrinking the text or letting lines overlap.

The layout itself is deliberately plain: one column, left-aligned headings, no icons, no colored sidebars, no multi-column tables. That is not a lack of design — it is a real ATS-parsing decision. Most Applicant Tracking Systems extract resume text by reading left to right, top to bottom; two-column layouts and centered headers frequently get scrambled or dropped entirely during that extraction, which is why recruiters routinely warn candidates away from "pretty" templates for online applications.
