Job offers rarely speak the same language: one is quoted per hour, another per month, a third as an annual package. This salary converter puts them all on one scale — enter a single amount, say how often it is paid, and it instantly shows the equivalent hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly and annual pay in one table.
The conversion is anchored to your real schedule, not a fixed assumption. Hours per week (default 40) and paid weeks per year (default 52) are both editable, and the tool assumes a 5-day workweek for the daily figure. Everything is first annualized — an hourly rate becomes rate × hours × weeks, a monthly salary becomes salary × 12 — and then divided back into every other period, so all six numbers are always consistent with each other.
That flexibility matters more than it looks. A 37.5-hour week changes an annual-to-hourly conversion by 6%; four weeks of unpaid leave turn 52 paid weeks into 48 and quietly raise the true value of every hour you work. By editing two inputs you can model part-time contracts, seasonal work and unpaid vacation instead of trusting a rule of thumb.
Use it to compare a contractor's hourly rate against a staff salary, to translate a biweekly paycheck into a monthly budget, or to check what a raise per year means per hour. Amounts are plain numbers, so the tool works with any currency, and every calculation happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored.
