Breadcrumb markup expresses your page hierarchy as ListItem entries with positions, names and URLs. Search engines can use it to replace the raw URL in a snippet with a readable path like Home › Category › Page — whether the breadcrumb trail actually appears in results is up to the engine, the markup just makes the structure explicit.


List the items in top-down order; positions are numbered automatically as you add rows. Each URL should be absolute and canonical.
