Split a List of Names into 4 Teams

This page opens the team generator preset to split your list into 4 teams. Paste the names one per line and press the button — the list is shuffled with the browser's cryptographic generator and dealt into four groups.

Four teams suit larger classes, quiz leagues, mini-tournament brackets, and team-building days. Any remainder is distributed evenly: 18 people become 5, 5, 4, and 4, never a lonely leftover team of one or two.

The result copies as clean text for announcements or bracket sheets. For other formats — from 2 to 50 teams, or fixed group sizes — open the full tool; it works entirely in your browser and stores nothing.
