This page opens the video-to-GIF converter preconfigured for the highest quality the tool offers: 720 pixels wide and 15 frames per second. At 15 FPS motion looks close to fluid — the GIF format caps out around this rate anyway, because GIF timing works in hundredths of a second and most players clamp anything faster. Just drop an MP4 or WebM clip, set the start and end second, and press the button.
HD GIFs are the right choice for product demos, UI walkthroughs and short tutorial loops where text on screen must stay readable. Keep in mind that GIF is an old 256-color format: file size grows quickly with resolution and frame count, so a 720 px clip at 15 FPS is best kept under roughly ten seconds. If the result comes out too heavy, trim the segment rather than the width — duration usually costs more bytes than resolution.
Everything happens locally: the browser decodes your video, captures each frame onto a canvas, quantizes colors with median-cut and writes a standard GIF89a file with an infinite loop. Nothing is uploaded, so even confidential screen recordings are safe to convert. Need a lighter file for chats? Try the small-GIF preset instead.
