This generator builds real barcodes from the official encoding tables of five symbologies — Code 128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and Code 39 — entirely in your browser, with nothing uploaded to any server.

The tool validates your input live as you type: it checks the allowed characters and length for the selected format, and for the retail formats (EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A) it verifies the check digit. Enter the payload without the check digit and the generator computes and appends it automatically, explicitly telling you which digit it added — so a mistyped code never reaches the printer.

Output is vector-first: bars are drawn as SVG rectangles with correct guard patterns, quiet zones and human-readable digits underneath, so the code stays sharp at any print size. A high-resolution PNG export is available for documents, spreadsheets and mockups where raster images are easier to paste.
