About this tool

Are you familiar with the situation when you need to quickly create a QR code for a link or Wi-Fi network, but online services require registration, add ads or make the link temporary or paid?

Our generator allows you to create eternal QR codes without restrictions, completely anonymously. The generation takes place entirely in your browser, so your data or Wi-Fi passwords are not transmitted anywhere.

You can customize the foreground and background color to match a brand palette or a poster's design. The finished code downloads as a PNG image ready to print or embed.

Example. Encoding https://example.com produces a 300-pixel PNG with a two-module quiet zone.

Limit. Text that does not fit in a QR symbol is rejected by the encoder rather than cut short.

Does the QR code ever expire or stop working?

No. This generator encodes your text or link directly into the QR code's pixel pattern — there is no shortener or redirect service in between, so nothing on our end can expire, deactivate, or start showing ads on the code later. As long as the destination you encoded (a URL, for instance) still exists, the code keeps working indefinitely.

Can I export the QR code as SVG, or change its size or error-correction level?

Not currently — the tool generates a fixed-size PNG image with adjustable foreground and background color only. If you need a specific print size, scale the downloaded PNG in an image editor; for very large prints, upscale from a higher base resolution rather than stretching the default output.

Is a Wi-Fi QR code's password actually encrypted?

No — a Wi-Fi QR code is a plain-text encoding of the network name and password in a standard format phones recognize, not encryption. Anyone who scans or otherwise reads the code can recover the password. Treat printing and sharing a Wi-Fi QR code the same way you'd treat writing the password on a piece of paper.

Is the text or link I enter sent anywhere?

No. QR generation happens entirely in your browser via the qrcode JavaScript library — your input goes directly from the text field into the image, with no network request involved. You can confirm this in your browser's developer tools: open the Network panel and generate a code; nothing carrying your input will appear.
