Wi-Fi QR Code Generator — Skip Typing the Password

About this tool

This page opens the QR generator preloaded with a sample Wi-Fi payload in the standard format that phone cameras already know how to read: `WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNetwork;P:MyPassword123;;` — `T` is the security type, `S` is the network name, and `P` is the password. Most modern phones detect this pattern automatically and offer to join the network the instant the code is scanned, no app required.

Edit the text field to replace `MyNetwork` and `MyPassword123` with your own network name and password before you generate or print anything — the sample values on this page are placeholders, not a working network. This is a plain-text encoding, not encryption: anyone who scans or reads the resulting QR code can recover the password printed inside it, so treat a Wi-Fi QR code exactly like you would treat handing someone the password on paper.

Because generation happens entirely in your browser, the credentials you type never leave your device or touch a server — nothing is logged, cached or transmitted. That makes this a reasonable way to print a code for your own guest network at home or in a shop, but it is not the right tool for publishing a password-bearing code anywhere public, since the plain-text password would be exposed to anyone who scans it.

Example. Encoding https://example.com produces a 300-pixel PNG with a two-module quiet zone.

Limit. Text that does not fit in a QR symbol is rejected by the encoder rather than cut short.
