Connect a controller and press any button on it — browsers only reveal gamepads after real input.

This page opens the gamepad tester ready for an Xbox controller: plug it in over USB or pair it via Bluetooth, press any button and the whole layout appears in the live grid.

In the standard browser mapping the face buttons land on fixed slots: A is button 0, B is 1, X is 2 and Y is 3; LB and RB are 4 and 5, while LT and RT are 6 and 7 and report smooth values from 0.00 to 1.00 as you squeeze them — a trigger that never reaches 1.00 or jumps around is worn. View, Menu, the stick clicks, the D-pad and the Xbox button fill the remaining slots.

Xbox pads are the reference hardware for the dual-rumble vibration test, so try that button too: both motors should buzz clearly for a second. If your controller passes every button here but misbehaves in one game, the fault is in that game's bindings, not in the hardware.
