Readability Checker
Score your text live with six classic readability formulas: Flesch Reading Ease, Flesch-Kincaid, Gunning Fog, SMOG, Coleman-Liau and ARI.
Result
You wrote a landing page, a help article or a school essay — but is it actually easy to read? Editors, content teams and teachers use standard readability formulas to answer that, and this tool computes all six classics live as you type or paste.
Flesch Reading Ease gives a 0-100 score (higher is easier), while Flesch-Kincaid Grade, Gunning Fog, SMOG, Coleman-Liau and ARI estimate the school grade level needed to follow the text. Each card shows the exact formula, so the numbers are transparent rather than a black box. Below the scores you also get the average sentence length, average word length and your three longest sentences — the usual first candidates for a rewrite.
One honest caveat: these formulas were developed and calibrated for English text, and syllables are counted with a heuristic (vowel groups with silent-e handling). For Ukrainian, German or any other language the scores are useful for comparing drafts against each other, but they are indicative — do not treat them as absolute grade levels.
Everything runs locally in your browser: nothing is uploaded, so confidential drafts, contracts and unpublished articles stay on your device while every keystroke updates all six scores instantly.
