This page opens the recipe scaler preset to convert a recipe written for 4 servings into 6 — a factor of exactly 1.5. It is one of the most common real-life rescales: most published recipes assume four portions, while a dinner with two guests, six lunch boxes or a hungry family often needs six.

A 1.5× factor produces awkward numbers by hand: 2 cups become 3, but 1 tablespoon becomes 1 ½, ⅓ cup becomes ½, and 1 ¾ cups become 2 ⅝ — which the scaler rounds to a practical 2 ¾. Paste the ingredient list one item per line and every leading quantity is converted at once, with cup and spoon amounts snapped to quarter fractions and weights kept as clean numbers.

If your recipe is written for a different base — say 2 or 8 servings — simply change the two servings fields; the tool computes whatever factor the pair implies. And remember the non-linear trio the note under the result points out: salt, leavening and cook time should follow your taste and your oven, not the multiplier.
