This page opens the recipe scaler preconfigured to double a recipe — every quantity in your ingredient list is multiplied by 2. Doubling is the classic move for guests, meal prep and batch cooking: one session at the stove, two dinners in the fridge.
The arithmetic of doubling looks trivial until fractions get involved: twice 1 ½ cups is 3 cups, twice ¾ teaspoon is 1 ½ teaspoons, and twice 1 1/3 cups is 2 ⅔ — which this tool rounds to a kitchen-friendly 2 ¾. Paste the list, press the button, and copy the doubled version; your wording and ingredient names stay exactly as you wrote them, only the leading numbers change.
Doubling has real-world caveats the multiplication cannot see: a doubled batch in the same pan bakes longer and browns differently, spices and salt often need less than twice the amount to taste right, and doubled yeast dough rises in about the same time, not twice as long. Scale the numbers here, then trust your senses on seasoning and timing.
