This page opens the recipe scaler preconfigured to triple a recipe — every leading quantity in the pasted list is multiplied by 3. Tripling turns a family recipe into party or freezer scale: one lasagna becomes three, a dozen cookies becomes three dozen.
At 3× the fractions multiply fast: three times 2/3 cup is 2 cups, three times 1 ½ tablespoons is 4 ½, and three times ¼ teaspoon is ¾ teaspoon. The scaler keeps cup and spoon amounts in quarter fractions and leaves gram and milliliter amounts as plain numbers, so the tripled list is immediately usable at the counter. Anything without a leading number is marked as not scaled instead of being guessed.
Tripling is exactly where linear scaling starts to mislead: professional bakers routinely use less than three times the salt and spices in a tripled batch, chemical leavening is often reduced slightly, and cook times shift with pan depth rather than with quantity. Treat the tripled seasoning numbers as a ceiling, season in stages, and taste as you go.
