This page opens the electricity cost calculator preset for an LED bulb: 10 watts, the typical draw of an LED that replaces a classic 60 W incandescent while giving the same light (about 800 lumens). At 5 hours a day it uses just 0.05 kWh per day — about 1.5 kWh per month and 18 kWh per year, small change at almost any tariff.
The interesting number is the saving. The 60 W incandescent this bulb replaces would burn 50 W more for the same light: over 5 hours a day that is 0.25 kWh per day, roughly 91 kWh per year — per bulb. To compare your own bulbs, just edit the wattage: common LED sizes are 4–5 W (replacing 40 W), 8–10 W (60 W) and 13–15 W (100 W), and the real figure is printed on the bulb itself.
