This page opens the image-to-text tool with English already selected as the recognition language — drop a screenshot, scan or photo and press the button. English is the language Tesseract OCR handles best: the engine was trained on an enormous corpus of English print, so clean scans routinely reach 95%+ confidence.

English OCR works well even on tricky sources — terminal screenshots, book pages photographed at an angle, receipts and product labels. For best results give the engine sharp text at least 20–30 pixels tall; if a photo is blurry or the text is tiny, upscale the image before recognition and the accuracy usually jumps noticeably.

Everything runs locally in your browser: the image is never uploaded, only the compact English language model (a few megabytes) is fetched once and cached. When recognition finishes, copy the text with one click or download it as a .txt file.
