About this tool

Level 30 is the number every enchanter eventually chases: with enough lapis lazuli, an enchanting table only ever offers its strongest possible enchantments once you sit at 30 experience levels or higher, which is why it has become shorthand for 'ready to enchant' among players rather than just another milestone on the way up.

This page opens the calculator already set to go from level 0 straight to level 30, so the numbers you see are the full climb from a fresh character. Following Minecraft's own experience curve, that comes out to 1,395 total experience points — the calculator shows the current-XP and target-XP totals separately, so if you already have some levels banked you can adjust the current level field and instantly see the smaller remaining gap.

Below the headline number, the tool converts that XP requirement into concrete farming targets: how many zombies or skeletons to defeat, how many diamonds or coal to mine, how many ores to smelt, or how many villager trades to complete. That breakdown makes it easy to pick whichever activity fits your current playthrough, whether that's raiding a mob spawner or working through a mining trip.

Example. Going from level 0 to level 1 with 0 percent progress needs 7 experience points. Going from level 0 to level 30 needs 1,395. A pool of 40,000 XP lands at level 111 plus 373 of the 841 points toward level 112.

Limit. The progress slider only represents 0 to 99 percent of the current level, and the points inside that level are floored. Mob and ore rows use fixed values such as 5 for a zombie, 0.7 for smelting iron, and 3.5 for nether quartz.
