About this tool

Most XP questions aren't about starting from nothing — they're about a player who already has some levels and wants to know exactly how much further to a specific goal. This preset models that common mid-game situation: it starts the calculator at level 10, a level most survival players reach quickly, and targets level 30, the well-known enchanting threshold.

Using Minecraft's own leveling formulas, level 10 represents 160 cumulative experience points while level 30 represents 1,395, leaving a gap of exactly 1,235 XP to farm. That's noticeably less than the 1,395 points a brand-new character would need, which is the entire point of tracking your current level rather than assuming you're starting from scratch.

The calculator breaks that 1,235-point gap down into concrete tasks — zombies and skeletons defeated, ore blocks mined, items smelted, or villager trades completed — so you can see at a glance which activity gets you to level 30 fastest from where you already stand, and you can change either level field to model your own starting point and goal.

Example. Going from level 0 to level 1 with 0 percent progress needs 7 experience points. Going from level 0 to level 30 needs 1,395. A pool of 40,000 XP lands at level 111 plus 373 of the 841 points toward level 112.

Limit. The progress slider only represents 0 to 99 percent of the current level, and the points inside that level are floored. Mob and ore rows use fixed values such as 5 for a zombie, 0.7 for smelting iron, and 3.5 for nether quartz.
