Descending uses the same fingers in reverse order.
Isolated to the right hand, G Major introduces the first black key of the sharp keys, F♯, but the standard fingering keeps the thumb off it entirely — F♯ falls to the fourth finger, and the thumb still slides under only at C and at the closing G.
That single black key is exactly why a hand-only chart is worth a look: with the left hand out of the picture, it becomes obvious that the thumb's job never changes — only which finger gets assigned to the sharp.
Work the right hand alone until the thumb-under into C feels automatic at tempo, then compare it with the left-hand-only chart for G major or return to the full tool to hear both hands lock together.
